1. Leow Theng Huat

Prayer Needs:

• • May God grant Theng Huat a good time of rest during his sabbatical, as well as strength and wisdom to complete the things he has set out to do.

  • God to help Theng Huat get ready for a new academic year at TTC come July 2025.

  • God to bless Theng Huat's parents and parents-in-law with good health, safety, joy and peace.

  • God to bless Theng Huat’s children with good health, good friends and a close walk with God.

2. Tan Chew Suan – Serving with Singapore Youth for Christ

Thanksgiving for:

• • For seeing the Girls’ Brigade (GB) team through the drills competition.

  • The opportunity to share the significance of Good Friday and Easter in the Boys’ Brigade/GB devotions. May the gospel seed sown, bear fruit in God’s good timing.

  • That the Project Servant is picking up well the skills to study the bible. Pray that she will also learn well how to teach an evangelistic bible study material.

Prayer Needs:

• • God's wisdom and insight in her various teaching assignments. The learners will grow in their knowledge of God’s word and in their obedience to follow Him.

3. Asholi and Puii Akamu – Serving in Thailand

Prayer Needs:

• • In L, four young couples with young kids and babies being nursed, were chased away from their village because of their new faith. They took their personal items with them. Some believers from the nearby village helped them pitched temporary shed with tarp. Wisdom for Mr L, on how to follow-up, as he visited them to provide some essentials like rice, tin fish, mosquito nets, mosquito repellent, medicine and other items.

  • For Asholi’s teaching in Bible training for the “A” people, every month since April. Pray for his preparation and teaching skill. May older students benefit and be blessed through the teaching.

  • For more help and the continued work in the “A” Radio and media ministry, for creativity for the existing team and two staff members.

4. Couple – CN

Prayer Needs:

• • Sustainable rhythm and pace of work.

  • God’s protection over their parents’ health and especially for her father to soften his heart, repent and turn back to Christ.

5. Joel Choong – Serving with Singapore Youth for Christ

Prayer Needs:

• • Thankful the students joining the RISO workshops have been noting the Christian difference time and time again. It would be a blessing to be able to bless the creative students with a positive internship programme.
    

  • For more volunteers and staff to join the team. With more people, they would be able to run more programmes that could reach even more creative youth.

6. Mark Suredhran – Serving with Cru Singapore

Prayer Needs:

• • Mark’s continued good health and that he will be able to manage work and health needs well.

  • For strength and stamina and energy management.

  • His continued walk with the Lord and protection from the evil one.

7. Stella and Phil Carter – Serving with Cru Asia

Thanksgiving:

• • His favour and protection for her spouse, Phil’s three-week training in Chiang Mai, ACTI 58th Batch; also for smooth process and excellent recovery of Phil’s successful teeth implant.

Prayer Needs:

• • God’s protection and good health for Phil’s 75-year-old brother who is living alone

  • For Stella’s 91-year old mother's salvation. Pray for her short-term memory which seemed to be worse. That her mum will always recognise her helper and the helper will take care of her well. Pray she will recover soon from a very bad cough and excessive phlegm with the prescribed antibiotics.

8. Amos Ang – Serving with Cru Asia

Prayer Needs:

• • Wisdom and strength to carry out his roles and responsibilities locally.

  • Discernment for staff care and development for other teams he oversees.

  • For His covering over his sons: Josiah, who is finishing Officer Cadet School senior / professional term, and after this for God’s favour to get him a place in NTU; also for Nathan’s journey as he starts his work life.

9. Karen Hor – Serving with Cru Asia

Prayer Needs:

• • Her son, Josiah has completed his 5-month training as a Combat Engineer. Thank God for sustaining him throughout and he has one more month before he is fully commissioned as an Officer in June. Pray for his posting to a unit and also his University application (results should be out in May).

  • For her parents who were both hospitalised recently. Her father’s memory seems to be faltering a lot suddenly and her mom is at heightened risk of stroke. They reside with her sister and family who are feeling the weight of caring for them more this season.

10. Joyce Ho – Serving with Cru Asia

Prayer Needs:

• • Good health and strength.

  • For good closure of her time in Cru.

  • God’s leading, wisdom and clarity in the next phase of her life.

11. Susan Lee – Serving with Cru Asia

Prayer Needs:

• • Phase 1 of TCJ (The Creative Journey) has wrapped up well and Phase 2 has started.

  • For the TCJ mentees to continue to experience God and fruitful learning in their respective mission trips and local internship projects.

  • Creative Team’s strength, physically, mentally and most importantly spiritually, as they juggle different job responsibilities.

  • For good health and to grow in their faith in God, for her and her family. 

12. Chelsea Koh – Serving with Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS)

Thanksgiving:

• • Salvation of J.

  • Fruitful time of Family Care Beneficiary Terrarium workshop to promote care for family and community.

Prayer Needs:

• • Guidance in planning the Volunteer Care Connect event in July.

13. Jason Huang (TTC)

Prayer Needs:

• • God’s wisdom to manage time between studies and family well.

  • Strength and inspiration to complete all upcoming assignment papers well as the semester approaches its end.

  • Good health and well-being over him and his family. 

14. Angeline Lee (SBC)

Thanksgiving:

• • For His faithfulness in carrying her through another semester. His strength, provision and grace throughout this journey. 

Prayer Needs:

• • Thankful for all that she has learnt during her internship and for His guidance and wisdom.

  • For the upcoming mission trip – that their team would be united in heart and purpose, good health, protection and fruitful ministry while in the field; for peace and safety for their families at home.

  • God’s continued protection and good health over her family in all that they do. 

15. Jonathan & Phoebe Kong – Serving with OMF

Thanksgiving for:

• • For the regular number of children who attend the English and Bible lessons every weekend. Many children experience brokenness as they are abandoned by their mothers in Takhro. May God open a way for Jon & Phoebe to minister into their brokenness and for them to see God’s all-encompassing love.

  • For local believers who are now more committed to attending church. There are now some believers who feel they may be ready for further discipleship in preparation for baptism. Pray for Aunty Dtaan, Mrs Nok, Milk, Tonkao and Plakad as we approach them to see if they would like to be baptised and to find a suitable location for baptism in Takhro.

Prayer Needs:

• • To establish a rhythm of ministry and rest in the village of Takhro.

  • For new believers: Aunty Dtaan, Uncle Hom and Aunty Pim; may God lead them in His ways and show Himself to them and for the Holy Spirit to convict them to give up traditional ritualistic practices. Also pray that Jon & Phoebe can visit them regularly despite distances.

  • Uncle Deng, who came regularly in the past, has stopped attending church. May
    God lead him back to the spiritual community, that he may find work in Takhro and that he will stop drinking and taking drugs.

  • Uncle Danom passed on in March. May God comfort his family and give an opportunity for Jon & Phoebe to witness to them. Pray for his two sons, one with a mental condition and just released from prison and another still in prison, that they will find peace in God and for God to provide for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

  • For Aunty Ling, a new believer who accepted Christ during a prayer walk, to draw close to Christ and join church services. She has been diagnosed with cancer and going for a blood test to verify whether she can receive medication. Pray for positive results.

  • For the health and well-being of their family members in Singapore, particularly Phoebe’s father that he would get stronger with subsequent hospital visit. Pray also for their own health and strength to minister in Takhro.

16. Shan – Serving in CAN

Prayer Needs:

• • Wisdom and favour from parents and for all required resources to be provided for the start of Secondary classes. Confirmation of curriculum and provision of all teaching staff. For favour with local authorities and smooth process of getting the approval to start the secondary school.

  • Wisdom and strategy for the SMS development committee to look into the future plan of SMS, especially with the space constraints at the current premises.

  • For the seeds of love and care that were sown to bear fruits in the hearts of the village communities.

  • Shalom peace and good health for Shan and her family.

  • To remain in Him and be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.

17. Stanley and Lucy Ong

Thanksgiving:

• • The way the Lord has been adding to the number of people attending the local church and for 3-year-old Koko's successful bone marrow operation on 23 May.

Prayer Needs:

• • Koko to be in remission from her leukemia.

  • Lucy to be healed of her shoulder and neck pain.

  • The salvation of the families who attend the church’s monthly kids’ club.

  • Stanley, as he works on his sermon, that he will listen to what the Lord has to say to him.

18. More Wesley's Missionaries to be raised and sent out into the field

Luke 10:2 The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Prayer Needs:

• • God's spirit to stir up the hearts of Wesleyans to be missional and obedient to the Great Commission.

  • More Wesleyans will hear His clarion call to be missionaries in the harvest fields overseas.

  • Wisdom, grace, and clarity as they discern their calling and choose to bring the gospel to the least-reached people groups or hard places.

  • That God will grant them the assurance of peace to remove their fears, anxieties and concerns for their loved ones as He equips them for the field.

  • Boldness and courage to take the next step to prepare well for the ministry which they are called in the harvest fields.

  • God's leading and wisdom to mobilise a great missionary movement from Wesley to reach the least, the lost and the last.

Cambodia

19. Functional English Centre (FEC)

• The Lord’s protection and guidance upon FEC staff, students and their families.

20. Pathway Fellowship in Siem Reap

• Pray for the Lord to continue growing the ministry and strengthening those who have opened their hearts and minds to Him; pray for the Pathway team as they follow up with people who have responded to the Lord.

• Thank God for a growing children’s ministry in the churches and preaching points. Pray for support for the ministry team as they seek to serve in this area.

• For good follow-up and spiritual growth of the children who came to know Christ during village outreach.

• Wisdom and strength for the teachers at Mustard Seed School (MSS).

• God’s guidance and provision as MSS and the church that worships there need to relocate to a new place.

• God’s provision, leading and continued open doors in medical ministry.

21. Wesley Phnom Penh Hostel (WPPH)

• For former hostel students who have gone on to university to do well in their higher education. Praise the Lord for some who continued engaging the church community; pray for more to do so.

• The Lord’s empowerment upon the house parents and their work at WPPH.

• For the Lord to guide the curriculum preparation and recruitment of new teachers for the English Corner Programme.

• Pray for God's empowerment upon the pastors to sow seeds and for more students to open their hearts to receive Jesus into their lives. May the youths who have received Him grow deeper in their faith and relationship with God.

• God's protection over the hostel students in their health, well being and good relationship with their family and friends.

Indonesia

22. Batam & Bintan

Thanksgiving:

• • Students who joined the English teaching ministry progressed well in learning the language.

  • Closer relationship with the students and teachers and opportunity to share God’s love and godly values.

  • Women who joined the sewing ministry have gradually improved their sewing skills.

  • Recent trips have encouraged the pastors, leaders and teachers.

Prayer Needs:

• • Sustaining strength and wisdom for teachers to plan lessons and engage students effectively.

  • Students to learn effectively, diligent in their students, and nurtured in godly values and develop godly character.

  • Protection, good health, wisdom and anointing for pastors and leaders in providing leadership and care for the church.

  • More opportunities to reach out to the community.

  • Congregation to grow in their faith, love and service for God.

  • Diligence for those who participated in a sewing workshop to develop their skills.

  • Wisdom in planning missions trip to Batam and Bintan, including upcoming trip, 24-25 May.

23. Medan

Thanksgiving:

• • Scholarship students have progressed well in their studies and developed godly character. Some are serving in the ministry.

  • Youth in college/university are progressing well with studies.

Prayer Needs:

• • Children and youth to grow in their faith and discipleship.

  • Ministry workers, teacher assistants to be used by God to bless the children and youth.

  • Students receiving scholarships to focus well in their studies.

  • Good follow-up and nurturing of faith for new believers.

  • Future youth leaders to arise from within the ministry.

  • All workers with missions partner in Medan to keep up the spirit of serving God with love and humility. Protection and providence for their families.

  • Youth Camp, 3-7 Jul: more Wesleyans with a heart for youth to join the trip: wisdom and anointing in planning for the camp.

24. Laos

• Wisdom upon the nation’s leaders to find ways to cope with the financial crisis and help the poor who are struggling with inflation and the high cost of living.

• Protection, courage and good health for God’s people especially those living in rural areas.

• Wisdom, sustaining strength, favour and perseverance for God’s workers serving the least, the lost and the last.

• Open hearts and responsiveness to the good news by the locals.

Philippines

25. Payatas Zone 1 

• Wisdom for church and community leaders in selecting the right livelihood projects for various local villages.

• For New Hope Antioch Church’s prison ministry to transform lives; good health and strength for pastor VP.

• Thank God for new believers in Pinagpala Christian Community Church’s outreach points; for more pre-believing families to be reached and more church members to serve as the ministry expands.

• A safe and suitable venue for Promised Land Christian Church’s new outreach point as the current location floods often; for God’s provision for various church ministry needs.

• Thank God for regular attendance of youth and adult members at Jesus The Mediator Church; pray for spiritual healing and good family relationships for church members and a job opening for AB.

26. High Praise Church (HPC)

• For HPC’s weekly Zoom theology course to equip its pastors and leaders; for trainees to cope with both day jobs and night classes.

• For God to provide resources needed to run the course for different batches of trainees.

• Perseverance and wisdom for Pastor R as he nurtures, mentors and trains the next generation of pastors and leaders.

• Zealousness for HPC pastors and leaders to continue and commence preaching assignments and Care Groups in outreach locations. 

Thailand

27. Nong Bua Lamphu

• For the Lord to continue to minister to the youths to receive His truths and promises and grow in their faith.

• Ongoing online English lessons led by Wesley volunteers to continue to serve needs of NBLPMC members and their invited friends.

• For friendships built at Nongsan to be strengthened and for the people there to come to know Christ personally.

• Strength and wisdom for Pastor K to juggle multiple roles and lead the church.

• Discipline and discernment for the youths when it comes to using their digital devices.

• Healing for members of the congregation who are ill and struggling with family issues.

28. Phrao

Thanksgiving:

• • Recent trips have been fruitful in reaching out to youth, women, children and teachers.

  • Some youth and children responded to God’s love during prayer time in LK and during youth camp.

Prayer Needs:

• • Youth who have responded to be nurtured in their faith and love for God.
    

  • The children at the outreach centre at LK to know God deeper.

  • Outreach at KP and MS villages to bear fruit for God; more children to join the activities.
    

  • The Lord’s provision for a full-time worker at LK and a more convenient location to run the programme there.
    

  • For God to touch the lives of families with children and the elderly who are ill and homebound as the church reaches out to them.
    

  • Good health and protection for Pastor D and his family, Pastor S and all the workers.

29. Timor Leste

• Health and joy for the missionaries, teachers, staff and students in Timor-Leste.

• For the missionaries, staff, students and MMS to have a united heart, not just with one another, but also with God; for God-given wisdom to catch God's vision and use their different talents and personalities that God has given them to serve Him and fulfil his purposes.

• God to continue expanding his Kingdom work and providing all the manpower and resources needed.

30. Wesley Youths in Missions

• For God to nurture a heart for missions amongst our youths, and raise a generation of missions-minded youths in Wesley YM with a desire to serve Him.

• For God to lead our youths and youth leaders as we seek to learn more about missions.

• For God to bring more youth mission trip leaders and trippers to serve Him in the mission fields as YM starts to ramp up missions activities.

• Wisdom and love for youth missions leaders as they connect with various missions fields.

• For our upcoming youth mission trips to be God-led and for our youth trippers to be good witnesses for God.
