Pray Without Ceasing

NEW

  1. GL had a flu infection with high fever. Praising God fever has subsided. Pray for:

    • GL to return to good health with cognitive issues stabilised and strength back into her limbs as numbness subsides.

    • To regain her stamina quickly and be in good health as she goes for studies overseas in October.

UPDATES

  1. FY has Stage 4 cancer. The Lord’s mercy to restore FY as she walks in faith and receives chemotherapy. Pray for:

    • New chemo drug to be effective.

    • Immunity to increase as God gives her strength to live each day well.

    • Cancer lump on shoulder to shrink.

  2. Protect CW and her family as she goes through a difficult time in her life. God to vindicate and justice to prevail. Dismantle the schemes of the evil one.

  3. PL twisted her left ankle. X-ray revealed a hairline fracture. To heal well with rest and protective footwear.

  4. AC is grateful for God’s hand in her life. Thyroid levels to remain in the normal range. Pray for:

    • A surrendered life to God in health, career and relationship with God.

    • AC’s faith to arise and to overcome fear.

    • Protection as she goes for a mission trip to Timor Leste.

  5. LK had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Pray for an effective chemo cocktail treatment.

    • Chemo port to be successfully inserted and LK to be able to cope with the drugs given.

    • Strength for the family to support him on this journey.

  6. CG’s oncologist to have new and latest options for treatment of peritoneal cancer. CG is a mother of two young school children. Pray for a miracle. Strengthened immunity as she was recently admitted for a bacterial infection.

  7. CL to call on Jesus in his time of need. Holy Spirit to touch him to have full physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. Pray for healing of family relationships and blessings on his caregiver, his wife to continue with perseverance and faith.

  8. JY, 23 years old, was diagnosed with stomach cancer with metastasis to her ovaries. Started chemo treatment. Pray for:

    • JY’s body to respond positively to the chemotherapy prescribed.

    • Systemic chemo to be effective to grant full recovery. Safety as she begins chemo and immunotherapy.

    • The Lord to protect, comfort, heal and envelop JY and the family with peace.

    • JY to have a heart of surrender and to trust in God.

  9. S, 25 years old, has lymphoma and is receiving chemo treatment. Pray for S:

    • To trust God to heal her and to walk in faith.

    • Strengthen her body and give her good appetite to care for her two young children.

    • God’s protective covering to handle difficult family demands well and respectfully.

  10. Z who had a brain bleed had 3D Clinorplasty Skull Implant done on 22 May. Thanksgiving surgery went well. Pray for:

    • The Lord to re-awaken Z’s brain cells with excellent healing of her memory and faculties.

    • Caregivers to be continually strengthened to love and care for her.

    • Protection for husband ML as he travels for work overseas.

    Pray for:

    • Our love for God to grow with a greater passion for worship, prayer and the Word, knowing that all things come from Him.

    • Love: Pray that love and concern for one another will grow (John 13:35).

    • Thanksgiving for the smooth resumption of all onsite services & live-streamed Saturday worship services (YM & TSS), Sunday worship services (9.30 am: Traditional and 9.30 and 11.30 am P&P 2.30 pm MM in Wesley Hall and WFF at Plaza Hall).

    • Blessings on BeTween, CM and PS Com as leaders, teachers and students grow in the Lord.

    • Reconnection, unity and a prayerful heart to envelope the congregation as they worship onsite or from home.

    • Thanksgiving for all volunteers serving tirelessly in our worship services.

  3. Staff

    Pray for all staff:

    • His protection and grace over the staff team.

    • To seek growth and excellence in all they do, embrace change, have an teachable hearts and to carry out their roles faithfully.

    • To have love, unity and submission to God and to one another out of reverence for Christ.

    • To embrace intentional Discipleship in society and incorporate this theme in their ministry programmes.

    • Thank God for their families’ understanding and support, especially those with children and elderly family members who need their time and attention. God’s protection and providence on each family member; that even as they have sown to the Lord, they wil be fruitful.

    • Staff to depend on God for strength in times of difficulties, for peace in times of stress, and patience in times of pressure.

    • Understanding and patience from worshippers as duties are being carried out.

  4. Outreach Conference (OC) | Sat, 27 Sep | 9.30am to 5pm
    Pray for:
    Programme

    • God’s anointing and wisdom on Keynote Speaker Pastor Benny Ho, and Workshop Speakers Dr Lai Junxu, Mr Foo Yu Da, Ms Ling Zi, Mr John Knox and Dr Adrian Tan as they prepare their content.

    • Volunteer panelists at the panel discussions, to share on how to be missional in God’s service.

Conference Preparation:

    • Praise God for staff and volunteers who responded to serve at the Conference as ushers, registration helpers, F&B distribution helpers, photographers, and logistic support!

    • Unity, teamwork, God’s empowerment for the Conference planning team.

Conference attendees:

    • Deep transformation in the hearts of Conference attendees, as they
      recognise outreach begins with compassion, not programmes.

    • To respond when God speaks. Commitment to take the next step to serve God through outreach opportunities in Wesley ministries: Witness & Evangelism, Missions, Crisis Relief Wesley and Christian Outreach & Social Concerns and to live as God’s missional disciples.

  1. Children’s Ministry (CM) & BeTween
    Children's Ministry
    Thanksgiving for:
    • Faithful teachers and volunteers who serve at weekly CM services. 

    • Our youths, young adults and parents who serve at CM events and camps.

    • New children who are joining CM every week.

Pray for:

    • Teachers to guard their hearts and walk with God, seek to be more like Christ daily, shine the light of Christ into the lives of the children, and to be equipped for ministry (especially to care for the increasing number of special needs children at main services).

    • Blessings and protection over the teachers and their families.

    • Unity among all teachers, whether recently joined or those in long service, put aside differences with their focus on God.

    • Children to encounter and experience God during the services, to understand the importance of prayer, worship and other spiritual disciplines, learn about serving God and bless the church.

    • God’s blessings and protection over the children and their families, that they may put God first, and priortise coming to church weekly.

    • Parents to be primary disciple makers and partner with CM to grow their children’s faith.

    • God of the harvest to send regular teachers and a Team Leader for CM@TSS. To empower the teachers to grow in teaching and guiding the children.

    • Families to grow together as they worship at TSS together weekly.

BeTween
Pray for:

    • Every tween in the ministry to encounter Jesus personally and find their identity securely anchored in Him, especially amid the many changes and challenges that they face at home and in school.

    • BeTween leaders to be granted wisdom, patience and a teachable spirit, as they disciple tweens with love, empathy, and understanding as they journey together.

    • Families of our tweens – for unity at home, spiritual conversations, and for parents to guide, support and model authentic faith through life’s transitions.

    • God’s continual presence, protection and peace over every tween, leader, and family in the ministry through school changes, friendships, exam pressure and all uncertainties.

    • Tweens, leaders and families to have a growing hunger for God’s Word and boldness to live out their faith – serving Christ wholeheartedly and shining His light to others.
